About these terms

These terms apply when you buy from the Swaye website. By placing an order you're agreeing to them, so please have a read before you check out. They don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Placing an order

When you place an order you'll get an email confirming we've received it. That email is an acknowledgement, not acceptance. Your order is accepted, and the contract formed, when we email to confirm it's gone into production or dispatch. If we can't accept an order, for example because an item is unavailable or there was a pricing error, we'll let you know and refund anything you've paid.

Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is free across the UK unless stated otherwise on the product. We take payment through our secure providers, and through Klarna or Clearpay if you choose to pay in instalments, subject to their own terms and approval. We do our best to keep prices accurate, but if we spot a genuine error we'll contact you before processing the order.

Made-to-order items

Many of our pieces are built to your choice of fabric, size and options. Because they're made specially for you, the change-of-mind cancellation right doesn't apply once production has started, as set out in our returns policy. Your rights if an item is faulty or not as described are unaffected.

Delivery

We deliver across the UK and bring your furniture into the room of your choice. Assembly is available as an optional paid add-on. Delivery timescales are estimates and depend on the item and your location. Full details are on the delivery page.

Returns and guarantee

Your right to return items and how refunds work are set out in our returns & refunds policy. Our frames are covered by the 5-year guarantee.

Our liability

We stand behind everything we sell, but we're not liable for losses that weren't foreseeable or that fall outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for things the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Product descriptions and images

We take care to describe and photograph our furniture accurately. Fabrics, colours and finishes can look slightly different from one screen to another, and natural materials carry small variations, so we recommend ordering a free fabric swatch if exact colour matters to you. Dimensions are given as a guide and may carry small manufacturing tolerances.

If something goes wrong

If you're ever unhappy, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. We take complaints seriously and aim to respond quickly and fairly. Your statutory rights as a consumer always remain in place.

Swaye is a trading name operating from the address below. If you need our company registration details for a formal matter, they're shown here and you're welcome to ask us for anything further.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Frequently asked questions

Is delivery really free?

Yes. We offer free delivery to most of the UK mainland, with nothing added at checkout. Some remote areas, including the Scottish Highlands and islands, may involve a longer timeframe or a surcharge, so please get in touch before ordering if you are unsure. Assembly is available as an optional paid add-on.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. We offer Klarna and Clearpay, letting you split your order into 3 interest-free payments. Select Klarna or Clearpay at checkout. 18+, T&Cs apply, credit subject to status.

Where is your furniture made?

Our beds, and a number of our sofas, are handmade here in the UK. The rest of the sofa range is designed by us here in the UK and built to our designs by specialist manufacturers in Europe and Asia that we have worked with for years. Every product page tells you which is which, and every piece carries the same 5-year guarantee.

What guarantee do you offer?

Every piece comes with our 5-year frame guarantee. If something goes wrong with the frame in normal use, we put it right.

How long does delivery take?

Most orders are delivered within 7 to 15 days. In-stock items are often sooner, while made-to-order pieces use the full window. The exact dates for your item are shown on its product page.
